The Last Minute Gift Guide
This year has been quite stressfull for me so I thought I'd go hunting for christmas presents early. Normally I end up buying the last presents on the 24th, but this year I've done a great job and planned and bought everything way in advance. My brother Maurits Barmentloo just released his first music video called "Laufen" (engl. "Walking"). He is a singer and songwriter, but also likes to perform with his band. The Haul: Loving French Pharmacies
As I recently went to Corse I did a bit of french pharmacy shopping. Just a bit !
I was looking for mainly bourjois items as I can't get them here in germany. Especially the "bourjois healthy mix foundation" was on my top list. I couldn't find it in the end, but did some great other purchases instead.

The Week's Nail: #4
This week's most loved nailpolish is "Commander in Chic" from the complete salon manicure range by Sally Hansen. As topcoat I used the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat and after 3 days there's no chipping or anything. Lovely brown-grey colour that looks really cozy with a slouchy knitted sweater! Commander in Chic is all for the cozyness, Sir!

The Covet: Non-Black Handbags (Under 50€)
As much as I love (all of..) my black purses I also love some colourful ones. Besides of the bright red option I tend to like autumny colours like cognac, burgundy and dark green.
At the moment I'm searchig for a new non-black addition since my other bags have all seen better days. So I'm loving the four options above, but would love to know other bags for under 50€ that you like!

The Style: French Holidays
Next friday I'll be heading to Corse (France) for my needed two weeks of "summer" holiday with the boy. I quote summer as it's really already autumn, but Corse has 25°C waiting for us though. Me being excited for sun but not being to optimistic about shorts and bikinis all day long, I've been looking for my perfect french pieces that are summery but won't let me get a cold.

The Favourite: Autumn and Winter Nailpolishes
If you've read about my favourite colours for this year's autumn and winter clothing then you might notice a small pattern. I just love the cozy, autumn colours with a pop of brighter colour here and there.
This year the colours for me will be: a rosy nude, a dark wicked red, a dark cozy grey, a vibrant electric blue as a focus to brighten up a grey comfy outfit (i don't really , a dark navy blue and a dark military green.

And as you can probably see, I love me some essie polishes. Just such simple application and that's what you want in winter if you're about to go out and put your gloves on.

The Organization: Blog Renovation
For the past weeks I've been working on the design of my blog. And now I'm finally ready and quite proud as I got myself into some HTML.
The biggest change besides from the new look that juliesdreams has is the menue-bar. The navigation is now located at the left side of juliesdreams just above the search-option and the postarchive. You can now easily click on one of the six cathegories and switch between them.

The Focus: Yellow Brightning
So with my "Blog Renovation" I'm starting a whole new cathegory on my blog: Lifestyle. There have already been some posts about lovely stuff here on juliesdreams, but they didn't fit the beauty and fashion class so I decided to open a new one. More about my blog renovation will probably be posted tomorrow.
And as it goes this first real lifestyle post is going to be about interior (my second love, just look up my pinterest...)
As I was redecorating our appartment I noticed that we really don't have any yellow furniture, decoration or pops of colour. Nothing. We have other fresh bright colours, but no yellow. So I decided to look whether a yellow piece would be worth it or not. I went onto the internet and holy moly I got obsessed. Yellow is such a nice colour! Colourblocked, with black and white or just as a small statement. As summer is just over I'm really searching for some brights now as they make a room look so clean, fresh and warm at the same time!

My favourite nailpolish for the past week has been Korres Myrrh & Oligoelements Nail Colour High Shine / Long Lasting in 45 coral. It's
a bright but chic and lovely coral that has a beautiful shine to it. This just extends my summer a bit! The polish itself
is full coverage after just one application and stays for 4 days without
chipping which is amazing (and I didn't even wear a topcoat, lazy me..)

The Beauty: Korres Coral Lovers
I've never been a huge fan of pink tones. I've always loved a play outside in the garden or a walk through the forest as a kid, so I think that's why I never really developed a mega girly manner. That's me trying to write a beauty related blog and doing my makeup in the mornings even when I'm going to stay in my PJs that day.. BUT I love all things beautiful and I'm a huge sucker for coral. So this CORAL LOVERS (!!!) Set from Korres came exactly right for my end of summer makeup vibe.

The Favourite: Spring Nailpolishes 2013
So today's blogpost is going to be about my favourite spring nailpolishes. As the weather finally gets warmer and brighter, I tend to go for some lovely, summery colours. Not only for polish, but also clotheswise. I just love it, when the flowers and people look so bright and colourful. Just makes me smile.

The Haul: Going Crazy For Dainty Doll
As you might have seen on my blogpost/instagram a couple of days ago, I've scheduled all my blogposts for April. But as something happens plans change. And today I originally wanted to start my "Jewelry-Collection" row, but as I got a small beauty related package this morning I wanted to show you what's inside! So the "Jewelry-Collection" row will start next friday with my favourite necklaces! Keep an eye on that!
So I've read I COVET THEE's blogpost about her latest Dainty Doll purchase and had to order myself some little things. At Fragrance Direct they're selling Dainty Doll products for 1.99£ / 2.33€ what, compared to their normal prices is a HUGE bargain! And as I saw Alix purchase I wanted some of those lovely blushers myself. But certainly I wasn't the only one who saw this snip, so many things were already out of stock. Happily I could get my hands on some other lovely stuff!

The Haul: Amsterdam & Gouda
During Valentine's Day week I went to visit my dutch family together with my boyfriend. We drank a lot of tea, ate cookies and chatted through all of my different sibbling's houses. It was a lot of fun and great to see everybody, since I hardly get to meet them once a year.
And staying in Gouda, half a hour away from Amsterdam, we surely went there to have a small sight seeing (my boyfriend never beeing to the Netherlands or Amsterdam..) and a bit of shopping. The great thing about shopping in foreign countries is, that nearly nobody else at home will have the exact same item. And you got to test out new, unknown or long adored make-up and beauty brands and trends.

That's what I told my boyfriend and he totally cracked up. Because every time I tell him, he knows that I went totally insane and that I'm going to present him all of my new loves. And so I went and showed him what I'm going to show you now. And I got hyper and he went nuts.
So I went shopping. And not only one time, but a couple of times last month. So I'm going hyper again looking at all this and hopefully you will go hyper too.

The Weeks Nail: #2
So this has been a real wonder for me. Having nailploish on, doing dishes, crafting, studying and so on and my nailpolisch is still on. And I applied it Tuesday the 12th! No chipping at all! So my favourite nailpolish for now more than the past week has been Essie "Spaghetti Strap". It's
a wonderful nude colour. I just got it 2 weeks ago, after I watched ViviannaDoesMakeup raving about Essies Nudes. The polish is full coverage after just one application and I just used my regular base coat and no top coat. It looks amazing with a casual outfit but also for a night out! Just layer some rings and you're good to go! I really love this nails polish already!!

My favourite nailpolish for the past week has been Manhattan Couture Carnival #01. It's a gorgeous military green. Which I love to combinate with a military coloured shirt or just some nude or burgundy clothes. The polish itself is full coverage after just one application and stays for 3 days without chipping which is amazing!

The Favourite: January 2013
So it's time for a new favourites blog. I left out my december favourites as I wanted to do a "2012 Bests", but then I got insanely ill and I couldn't get out of bed and in front of my computer. Do you still want to see those favourites? But as they were my favourites of the year 2012, they will probably be pretty good this year too. So if they appear in a favourites blog I will sure tell you so.
But now we'll dive into my favourites of this frosty month. It's been snowing a lot here in Germany. So not to many beauty stuff in here since my makeup is always gone after a couple of hours and I focus on moisturizing the hell out of my skin.
